Curt and Betty, and Gudrun and Dave came over to the house to meet the boys and to welcome everybody home. I made some dinner and we all ate together. It was the day before Taylor's birthday so it was extra special.
I made a dinner and an ice cream cake for Taylor and we sang to her, swam, and ate by the pool.
Then the next day, she opened her presents that her grandmas and grandpa had sent to her.
The girls were such good helpers. They loved holding the babies and neither or them wanted to set the babies down.
We did our traditional 7-11 run with the kids.
And then Taylor and I went out to lunch together to Denny's. Taylor loved the pancakes and we got to have mommy-daughter time together.
Then, that night, Travis bought pizza, and we had a third celebration for Taylor's birthday.
We tried to go to a trampoline place, but their offer was deceiving, so the kids played in the fountain instead.
We left the next day. The kids and I were sad to go, but felt blessed that we were able to be there for the twins' birth. It was so great to see my family. The kids and I really, really needed it. We had such a blast. It was an epic trip. My goal is to help my kids have opportunities to have memories with their cousins, aunts, and uncles.
